King Limitaet Beer Steins
The King Limitat (or “Limitaet”) is a highly regarded annual collector’s series from King-Werk GmbH in Germany, with only 2,500 identical steins produced each year. Each piece is handcrafted from antique molds, individually numbered, and features a fresh theme annually, often drawing inspiration from history, mythology, or cultural traditions.
This gorgeous 1.5-liter hand-painted collectible stein is a true showcase of the stein maker’s craft, featuring two noblemen joyfully celebrating with a beer maiden.
The scene is set within an arched window adorned with climbing hop vines, and the text below reads “Der Becher winkt, Stosst an und trinkt!” meaning “Let the beer steins clink in a toast to a drink!”
The body is beautifully detailed with the castle walls and watchtower in classic bas-relief, while the back panel beneath the handle offers a peek into the castle’s well-stocked beer cellar.
Topping it all off is a 4-tiered conical pewter lid, ornately decorated with intricate raised relief, crowning this stunning limited-edition piece.
This stein’s mold was first crafted by master sculptor Wilhelm Kamp around 1897 and is now reproduced by King-Werk GmbH. It boasts a striking facon lid, a cream-colored background, hand-painted details, and comes with a certificate of authenticity that includes its history on the back.
LIMITED EDITION of only 2,500 were ever made by the master craftsmen at King-Werk worldwide! Each stein is individually numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The rarity of this stein is exceeded only by its eccentricity- making this a perfect addition to any stein collection.
