Great German Clock but take note of batteries

Posted by JZindler on Aug 6th 2023

Great clock. Perfect size. It plays Westminster chimes and also it cuckoos. Doesn’t sound like my ‘real’ cuckoo, this is more muted cause of the electronics which I expected. It still sounds great. My only issue was that it uses 2 AA batteries and they go the same direction. The way the battery box works, it looks like they should go opposite ways but then it won’t work. I called the service line for the store. They were super nice. They had the owner call me back and all I had to do is flip the battery around and it’s been working perfectly for a week now. Guess it was just the battery. If it doesn’t keep working I’ll write another review. Also like it’s 100% German made.
